DEDICATED TO TRIBAL LAW & CONSERVATION ENFORCEMENT IN INDIAN COUNTRY

[founded in 2017] > OUR PATH
took us in a different direction in 2021 , on a new mission, working diligently with multiple tribal law enforcement (LE) officials. We had a single concentrated focus - to design an everyday patrol weapon that met every need of the police officers responsible for protecting our people on our reservation(s).
The results of that effort flowed directly into our dedication to our own conservation law enforcement (CLE) teams as well.
Our entire line of weapons now center on just that, all our tribal law enforcement specific officers and the work they do. Originally available to LE and CLE departments only;
we now offer our weapons to all. Enjoy.

WHAT IS BLUMUD?
people ask:
Blue Mud ↦ Nimiipuu ↤ Nez Perce
We are Nimiipuu. We have always referred to ourselves as Nimiipuu, which simply means ‘the people’ in our language.
In 1810, French explorers labelled us as the 'Nez Perce' nation, a French term, which remains today, but this wasn't a name that we used prior to settlement.
Other regional tribes had always called us the Blue Mud or Blue Earth Tribe/Nation referencing a blue mud or blue clay that we were known for wearing as face paint (war paint) during battles and ceremonies. Our paint was our power; our strength. It was sacred and always had prayer and deep meaning in its use.
This 1802 English map (shown right) is the first published map of North America - identifying the Blue Mud people in Pacific Northwest (scroll over red star). Later maps produced by Lewis & Clark also identify us as the Blue Mud people; which was the norm up until the Nez Perce name attachment.

Each one of us at BLUMUD can sincerely say that we all feel absolutely blessed and honored, to (big #1) be Native, but also to (#2) work in the world's best industry with so many friends, brothers and sisters around the country; most easily said -
life just couldn't be any better.
